Yoshimi Kato-san works in the famed the Takefu Knife village. The Takefu knife village in Echizen Japan is home to some of the worlds best knife makers and we consider Kato San to be among the best. Kato San is a second Generation Knife Maker taking over the business from his father when he retired. Kato San sends his knives off to be sharpened by master sharpener and knife maker Makoto Kurosaki Brother of Yu Kurosaki. Yoshimi Kato has also made knives in the past for Masakage and other brands.
